Beef Rendang
Rendang is a popular dish served in Malaysia. This sauce is seasoned with lemongrass and ginger and enriched with toasted coconut.

1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 jar Sharwood's Malaysian Rendang
300g braising steak - cubed
Fresh coconut shavings for garnish
Cooking Method
Preheat oven to 180ºC fan, 200ºC conventional, Gas 6.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add steak and fry for 5 minutes to brown the meat.
Place the meat in a casserole dish and stir in the sauce.
Cover and cook in the oven.
After 30 minutes, stir and reduce heat to 150º C fan, 170 ºC conventional, Gas 3. Cook for a further hour or until the meat is succulent and tender.
Garnish with fresh coconut shavings.
