Braised scallops in oyster sauce
Braised Abalone in Oyster Sauce is traditionally served as part of the Chinese New Year Banquet.
Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins
Serves: 4
Shopping list:
¼ tsp shredded ginger
½ tsp garlic finely chopped
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
225g mushrooms quartered
450g scallops sliced
450g fresh spinach blanched
1 bottle Sharwood's Oyster Sauce
Method:
1) Stir-fry the ginger and garlic in the oil for a few seconds, without browning.
2) Add the mushrooms, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
3) Add the sliced Scallops and spinach, stir-fry for a further 2 minutes.
4) Stir in the Oyster Sauce, continue stir-frying for a further 3 minutes, or until the Scallops are just cooked, and serve immediately.
