Chinese Cuisine

I’ll go anywhere to find the best recipes and ingredients for the Sharwood’s Chinese range. Believe me, I’m passionate about Chinese food and I’ll only settle for the real McCoy!

I discovered some of the little tricks that Chinese cooks use – and you’ll be surprised how simple it can be to turn ordinary noodles or a stir fry into a dish that really tastes amazing.

Most of my recipes take just a few minutes to make and I promise they’ll taste better than your local takeaway. So stick with me and let’s make some great Chinese food together!

Cooking Tip

Looking after your wok

After use, wipe the wok clean, using mild soapy water if necessary. Rinse and dry it carefully and thoroughly. Wipe it with a little fresh vegetable oil to prevent rusting, then store. Please don't scour your wok!

Insight

Oyster Sauce is a smooth concentrate of oysters cooked in soy sauce and brine. Rich in flavour, it tastes almost ‘meaty’ and not at all fishy. Use it in classic Chinese stir-fries or mixed with a little oil as a dip.
