So much still to discover

Chinese Cuisine

I’ll go anywhere to find the best recipes and ingredients for the Sharwood’s Chinese range. Believe me, I’m passionate about Chinese food and I’ll only settle for the real McCoy!

I discovered some of the little tricks that Chinese cooks use – and you’ll be surprised how simple it can be to turn ordinary noodles or a stir fry into a dish that really tastes amazing.

Most of my recipes take just a few minutes to make and I promise they’ll taste better than your local takeaway. So stick with me and let’s make some great Chinese food together!

Cooking Tip

Using a steamer

Traditionally the Chinese use bamboo steamers stacked one on top of the other. The food is placed in order of tenderness, the slowest to cook at the bottom of the stack closest to the steam source.

Insight

A normal family evening meal in China would be rice or noodles with 3 dishes of fish, meat and vegetables, which everyone digs into with chopsticks. Revolving ‘lazy susans’ make sharing a lot of dishes easier!
